# Project Overview **Being Ball** is a physics-based Rolling Ball Game (RBG) puzzle platformer where players control a ball navigating through challenging levels set in a vibrant cube world. Whether rolling as stone, leaves, or wood, players embark on an adventure with the help of a cute robotic companion, **Bobot**. } # Development Details ## Development As a solo developer, I wore many hats: programmer, designer, and publisher. I used Unity (2019 → Unity 6), incorporating features such as URP, Shader Graph, VFX Graph, and Cinemachine. Third-party tools like Bitgem's Cube World, DOTween, and Odin Inspector also supported production. The game was written entirely in C#, with custom editor extensions built specifically for Being Ball. For art and audio, I used Blender, Krita, GIMP, Waveform, Audacity, and Bespoke Synth to shape the visuals and soundscape. After roughly a year in Early Access, Being Ball launched fully on Steam, shaped heavily by community feedback and iteration. ## Challenges Developing a realistic rolling-ball experience required careful use of Unity's physics engine and extensive parameter tuning. Balancing level difficulty was an ongoing process, informed by playtest feedback to ensure the challenge felt fair but rewarding. I improved my 3D modeling and texturing in Blender, as well as sound design using Waveform and Bespoke Synth. Most importantly, I refined my ability to design balanced levels that keep players engaged from start to finish. ## Additional Information Playtesters praised the game for its innovative mechanics and challenging gameplay.
